An artifact found in 2002 in a wooded area of Tennessee known for bigfoot activity. It was examined en-situ by a BFRO investigator, then sent to one of their Curators who performed an analysis of it. The original report and pictures are included here through the courtesy of the curator, not the BFRO itself.
Markers & Constructs
Everyone talks about 'Territory Markers', but just what the heck ARE they? Frankly, we do not know! Some researchers proclaim it to be a 'Territory Marker' every time they see a stick leaning on a tree, while others insist that NONE of these are related to Bigfoot in any way. Here, we attempt to separate the wheat from the chaff and give you some useful information.
The first thing to look at is, is it LIKELY that this construction just happened, or is it more likely to have been put together on purpose?
One way to determin this is to look at the kind of wood the construction is composed of, and see if the surrounding trees are the same kind; In other words, could these sticks have just fallen from the trees into this arrangement?

Another thing to consider is the possibility that the construction is the result of kids playing in the area, building tee-pee's or lean-to structures for fun. Here is one that is outside of that possibility due to the fact that the single limb is about 25 feet long, eight inches thick, and weighs several hundred pounds The fork is about ten feet off the ground.
