Narrative of report:

I was 14 or 15 years old at the time. It was during the summer and I had been out groundhog hunting. It was starting to get dusky because the sun had dropped behind the hill. I was on a logging road and I had walked out of the woods. I made a right turn on the logging road and started to walk up the hill to hwy (withheld) when I heard the sound of running behind me. I looked back and saw a large shape 15 to 20 yards away, bent over at the waist, running on two legs. The light was failing, but it appeared to be covered with dark brown hair of a uniform length all over it's body.  It had come out from behind a wild rose bush that it had been standing behind when I came out of the woods. It ran across a small clearing, into the trees, and down into the hollow. I could hear it snapping saplings and breaking brush as it was running deeper into the hollow. I was pretty shaken up after seeing this and I turned back to the hill and went home. Of course I told my family about what I had seen and they didn't believe it.

The next day I went back to the site. The rose bush the creature came out from behind was six feet high at that time and the creature even bent at the waist, it's head was even with the top of the bush.

At that time I hadn't heard of Bigfoot. It was either later that summer or the next year that a movie came about Bigfoot. That’s when I got interested. 

I wish to God I could see another just to put my mind at rest that I had actually saw what I thought I had.

Follow up:  We interviewed the witness.  He is credible, intelligent, and very positive about what he saw.  He made the below sketches of his impression of what this creature looked like.
