Narrative of report:  

I was about 8 years old and me and my friend, also 8 years old were playing in a big sage grass field when we saw this creature.  It was a bright summer day about 4 or 5 O'clock P.M..  We were at Gum Branch Road in Burns, TN not far from the Interstate.  We were walking through this field and heard something from behind us.  We were about 5 feet apart and turned around at the same time.  We both saw this creature and without saying a word to each other, started screaming and ran toward the fence to our house as hard as we could run.

We climbed over the fence in an instant, turned back around and saw it again coming in the same direction, walking at a fast pace.  He didn't seem to be harmful though.  We then took off running into our house and never saw him again.  He was about 7 feet tall, he had long legs and long arms and was a dark tan color with long, thick, nappy looking hair.  He was approximately 50 yards away when we saw him.  He did not seem to be very aggressive, but more like in a hurry to get to the woods.  He came from the direction of the woods through a field and back into the woods.  There are many ponds and creeks and caves in the area.  I was young, but I know what I saw and my friend also remembers this day we saw what we call "bigfoot".

Follow up:   Correspondence with witness shows honesty.  Many sightings in area lends credence as well.
