Narrative of report:  

One of the investigators from a large bigfoot investigation group was on one of his several trips to this area.  I took him around to some of the neighbors so he could meet them and get their stories as well.  At one of these stops, I had introduced him to several people, and he was talking to them when I walked over to another person there that I recognized, but had not met.  He is intimately familiar with this area, making his living by digging Ginseng, Star Root, Yellow pitoon, as well as gathering and rolling grape-vines.  I approached him by saying that I knew of his extreme knowledge of the woods in this area, and I knew that if anyone knew anything about a creature like Bigfoot here, it would be him.  After a bit of conversation, I could see his eyes open to things not normally spoken of.  He pointed to a particular hill and said "There is a family of five of them that live up there.  They are just above the cave where the old one lives - - "

At this point, the investigator was approaching, so I introduced them and told the investigator that HERE was the man to tell him about bigfoot in this area.  The old man looked at the investigator, and I could see his eyes close to an outsider.  He said "Bigfoot?  You have come to the wrong place.  There's nothing like that around here!"  With that, he turned and walked away.
