Night
Shadows,
A
Journal of Hominid Research
Read about one family's struggle, which began in the early 1960's, with giant, hairy hominids that walked upright which have continued to this day. Learn how these beings have affected Mary Green and set her on a long journey of trying to find out what they were. Are they a relic hominid that has always lived in the United States, or are they nothing more than a great ape hiding deep within America's forest?
Sighting reports by reliable eyewitnesses who have seen a bigfoot, or sasquatch, have steadily mounted in number. Hundreds of reports have poured in to our law enforcement agencies and to bigfoot organizations on the Internet and have continued to increase in recent years.
Do we have to live in fear of these giants? How human are they, or how animal are they? Would they be likely to kill someone or carry off women and children to replenish their numbers? Why don't they come out of the forest and allow us to understand them? Are such giant's existence kept from Americans through a huge government cover up effort? How did Mary and her family who lived in a remote area on a dead end road contend with such hominids that are said not to exist?
The answers may surprise you. This book also contains many other sighting reports from Tennessee and a few other states that were investigated by Mary Green. This book, along with "50 Years with Bigfoot," will be one that you cannot put down and one that you will refer to again and again for answers to one of America's greatest mysteries.

Excerpt from Chapter 2,
The Mystery Begins
I listened to these chilling wails long after the rest of the family
moved
away to finish the work at hand. I simply could not tear myself away
from
them, and I noted that the calls seemed to be moving further away as
time
passed. These mournful cries stirred something deep within me,
something
of an unknown and wild nature. I could not imagine then, nor can I
imagine
now, how those sounds could have come from a tiny woman who was sick in
bed. They were much too powerful for that. Besides, I had a sly
suspicion
that Hattie Belle knew exactly what had made them.

Success through Feeding Programs?

Therefore, once I told this excellent lady researcher in Oklahoma how I was putting up bags of popcorn for the bigfoot in my areas, she tried this also. A few days later, she too discovered a forked stick in one of the bags of popcorn she had hung up. She had to wait a few days before the bigfoot took the popcorn, but not a couple of weeks as I generally had to. Here is her description about what happened:
I had the bag hanging in a tree, and they pulled it down and ate
all
but a few kernels that were
left
inside the bag. I have put it (popcorn) out for the young ones and they
don’t eat much
of
it. They just want cookies (iced oatmeal and fig bars) and applesauce.
Yes, they used a
forked
stick to pull the kernels out of a corner of the bag, but they didn't
untie
the bag.
I think it is safe to surmise from these two similar events with the
bagged
popcorn that it is possible the bigfoot might have similar habits in
different
parts of the United States. Also, it is safe to assume that sometimes
they
use sticks to get their food. However, these two experiments with
popcorn
in bags are not enough to indicate that all bigfoot do this. Many more
similar experiments need to be conducted in several states before
there’s
enough information to make a firm statement that bigfoot do this or
that.
Excerpt from Chapter 16,
Other Researchers and Encounters
It had been raining all day, and by nightfall, the storm seemed to
intensify.
It began to thunder and lightning, and I remember that I was up late
reading
a book. I know it was after midnight when I decided to go to bed, but I
first needed to check on my dogs because they had been barking for
several
hours. I got up off the couch and started toward my bedroom to get my
shoes.
That’s when I noticed something walk past my back door. There was a
window
in the upper portion of the door, and the back porch light was on.
As
I stood there looking at the thing, the porch light went out. I
thought:
that thing just knocked out my damn light. That made me even more
frightened.
All I could think of was what the thing was going to do next. I just
knew
it was going to come bursting through my door. If it had, I would have
dropped dead on the spot, then and there.
